There is a bonus package as well. While I was browsing the site I was offered a fourth package with a popup. The offer is a 3-month plan for $6 a month. So, it means $17.99 in total. 

Overall, I’d personally go for the 36-month subscription as it is offered on a highly competitive price. There are not many premium VPN providers that can beat that number. However, if you are looking for a shorter subscription, then there are better alternatives within a similar price range. Surprisingly enough, iTop VPN doesn’t use any of them. Instead, it offers TCP, UDP, and HTTPS. You’d probably let the software pick the ideal protocol automatically, however, it is good to know that these are your options.

iTop VPN comes with dedicated servers to unblock libraries of such streaming services as Netflix, beIN Sports, Crunchyroll, Pluto TV, Sling TV, ITV, F1TV, DStv, 7plus, Hotstar, Hulu, Paramount+, HBO Max, Peacock, and Disney+. 

You can also select a country directly in order to access the library of that country. I’ve managed to access US libraries of Netflix, HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video. However, I encountered speed issues occasionally. Therefore, I don’t consider iTop VPN among the best VPN services for streaming.

Does iTop VPN Work with Netflix?

As I mentioned previously, iTop VPN has dedicated servers for Netflix. So, yes you can use iTop VPN on Netflix. You can also choose one of the country-specific servers to access the library of a certain country. You can occasionally encounter speed issues with the other streaming services like HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video. However, I didn’t face any issues while streaming Netflix titles. 

iTop VPN Speed Performance Ratings

iTop VPN’s speed performance was similar to the other high-end VPN services during the tests that I conducted. But, I have to mention that the speed highly depends on your internet connection speed and the speed of the server that you connect to. With a 1 Gb internet connection, I managed to get download speeds around 200 Mbs on the UK server. After connecting to the US server, I saw download speeds around 250 and 300 Mbs. That is pretty decent. However, there are significant differences among the servers in terms of download speed. Some of the servers can be quite slow; depending on the current load the speed can go down to 20 – 30 Mbs. 

Let’s take a look at the speed performance stats of iTop VPN in detail! Here are  my findings on the streaming, gaming and torrenting performance of iTop VPN:

iTop VPN Streaming Performance

This VPN service is not the best one for streaming videos despite the dedicated servers. It is great for Netflix and acceptable for HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video. However, as I said there are other VPN services that offer seamless streaming experience on many streaming services. Check out the best VPN services to find the right one for you! 

iTop VPN Gaming Performance

iTop VPN has dedicated servers for such online games as Call of Duty: Warzone, PUBG, Roblox, Minecraft, CS:GO, Second Life, World of Tanks, Elyon, Lost Ark of Russia, and New World. It offers enough speed for decent online gaming if you play on mobile or desktop.

Unfortunately, you cannot install iTop VPN on game consoles like Playstation and Xbox. Moreover, it is not possible to install it on the router directly. So, again it is a good alternative for gaming but not the best VPN service for gamers. 

iTop VPN Torrenting Performance

iTop VPN has 5 P2P servers which can be used for torrenting. Under the list of servers, there is a tab called “For Downloading”. Simply choose that and select one of the servers based on the current speed (you can check the current server speed on the speed indicator). 

Customer Support

In case you encounter an issue, would like to suggest something or complain about a malfunction, you cannot do it via live chat support. It is a big minus point iTop. I’ll write it on the blackboard with red chalk. However, you can send a message to the support team either using the Feedback tab in the app (click on the three horizontal lines and choose Feedback). Alternatively you can use the contact form on the iTop VPN website. You can find it in the footer menu under the Support tab. 

Unfortunately, there is no other phone number, Whatsapp number or a Skype ID to reach a support agent. However, once you submit your message, a support agent will reply within 24 to 48 hours. It is definitely not the most efficient support team out there. 

iTop VPN User Review

I talked about my professional view on iTop VPN up until now. Now it is time to talk about my feelings about it as a user. First of all, I really like the interface. It is simple and straightforward. I would even say it is foolproof. It is impossible to get lost while navigating through the app. You can see the current server load next to each server, which is also cool so that you know what to expect in terms of speed performance before connecting to a server. 

iTop VPN app’s goodie bag is also full. There are features like Ad Block, Kill Switch, and Split Tunneling which I’ve mentioned a little bit more in detail above. These are the features that you think you might not really use but then you realize that they come in handy quite often. 

I encountered speed issues occasionally but if you select one of the fast servers, you won’t have any issues in this regard. Moreover, there are dedicated servers for certain games, social media platforms and streaming services. It is something you really see in major VPN services. 

To conclude my iTop VPN user review, I need to mention that it is a decent premium VPN service which comes with a free version. If you don’t have specific demands like government-grade security and don’t care much about the server locations, then it can be for you as it comes with an affordable price tag. However, I wouldn’t consider it among my favorites as there are not enough server locations and the support is not up to the industry standard.
